Workingteens.org gives a simple explanation to teenagers working
This site was created to explain teens working in the real world.
About 15 million children in the U.S. (21%) of all children live in family's with incomes below the federal poverty threshold a measurement that has been shown to underestimate the needs of family's. Research shows that an average family need an income of about twice that level to cover basic expenses.
It is a proven fact that teens who stay busy and productive stay away from the bad influences of gangs and drugs. Teens who work learn self value while instilling a strong work ethic.
